Central Woodward Christian Church members and friends will have two opportunities to share in Community Thanksgiving observances. One is sponsored by the Troy-area Interfaith Group. The second by the Troy Clergy Group.
Troy-area Interfaith Thanksgiving Service — November 18th
Troy-area Interfaith Group will hold its 8th Annual Community Thanksgiving Celebration on Sunday, November 18, 2012, 7:00 p.m. This service is being hosted by the Sikh Gurdwara of Rochester Hills
271 West Auburn Road, west of Rochester Road, Rochester Hills, MI. Representatives of many faiths will share prayer, readings and fellowship. A goodwill offering will be taken to benefit Troy People Concerned and Habitat for Humanity. Join us for refreshments after the program.
Please share in Sikh tradition while visiting the Gurdwara by dressing modestly, covering the head (you may bring your own scarf or bandana or head coverings will be provided), removing shoes before entering the main hall, and sitting on the floor during the service. Chairs will be available for those unable to sit on the floor.
The Troy-area Interfaith Group exists to invite all faith communities to gather, grow and give for the sake of promoting the common values of love, peace and justice among all religions locally and globally. We believe that peace among peoples and nations requires peace among the religions.
