Coronavirus, Worship, and Church Life

As we move into a time of uncertainty due to the presence of the Coronavirus – COVID-19 — we as the church understand the concerns many have.  Schools and universities, and many other services are closing down for the time being so that members of the community are not being put in positions of danger.  As a church we have the utmost concern for each other and for the broader community. We will need to make adjustments to our activities, including our worship gatherings.

We are, at least for now, suspending all of our meetings and activities beyond worship until we have a better sense of things. We will be updating the situation here on the website as well as on our social media platforms, so keep watch for the updates.

Regarding Worship:  We will be playing this by ear, but for Sunday May 15 we will be working on creating an abbreviated service that we will stream on Facebook Live. We are recommending that most of our congregation remain at home, but if you would like to join us to share in this service you will be welcomed. We will be observing the recommendations of the CDC and other health officials. We will be taking every precaution to keep people safe.  Most likely we will be following similar patterns for the remainder of the month.

Regarding stewardship:  Remember that the financial needs of the congregation do not go away at a time like this.  You may send your offerings in through the mail or perhaps decide that this is a good time to begin using our online giving platform (Givelify).  Below is the link to the app. It works very well, so consider adding it to your phone and share the blessings when appropriate.

Conveniently give and track donations to Central Woodward Christian Church with the Givelify online and mobile donation app.
