The 2020 Perry Gresham Lectures, the eleventh in a series dating back to 2010, will be held on October 23 and 24 on Zoom. Our keynoter this year is Dr. Jose F. Morales Torres, Assistant Professor of Latinx Studies and Religion at Chicago Theological Seminary.
The topic is Christian Faith and Religious Pluralism. From the description for day 1, which is geared to clergy and leadership, the crux of the topic is expressed:
“Interreligious understanding and co-operation is one of the great theological questions posed to the Church today indeed, posed to all religions. Put succinctly, the theological question before us is: How do we as Christians make sense of God s particular revelation in Jesus Christ in light of the plurality of religious beliefs and practices?”
The Friday session runs from 9:30 to noon on Zoom.
The Saturday session runs from 10 to noon.
