In 2009, on World Communion Sunday, Michigan congregations from across the Stone-Campbell Movement gathered to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the publication of Thomas Campbell’s Declaration and Address with a service of worship. We will re-gather on Sunday afternoon, October 28th, at 3:00 PM at Rochester Church of Christ to break bread and worship together in a spirit of unity. We will do so in honor of Disciples Heritage Sunday.
This service is being sponsored by Rochester Church of Christ (A Capella), Meadowbrook Church of Christ (Christian Churches/Churches of Christ) and Central Woodward Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). It will feature music, prayers, meditations, and sharing at the Lord’s Table. Leadership will be provided by the three pastors of the congregations – Steve Martin (Meadowbrook), Adam Hill (Rochester Church of Christ) and Bob Cornwall (CWCC), along with elders from all three congregations and music ministries from the three congregations. All are invited to participate and share in building friendships across our movement that was founded on the principles of Christian Unity.
Rochester Church of Christ is located at:
