Chris Hobgood is a former General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) whose book explores the history of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with a focus on the issue of racism in society and the church. This book is part of the Disciples pro-reconciliation/anti-racism initiative. As the study groups work through the book, participants will have the opportunity to explore the denomination’s history, while learning how the church can dismantle institutional racism. The focus of the autumn study coincides with Pastor Bob’s sabbatical theme, exploring founding visions (heritage).
